BRONZE ME UP BABY

The weather is hotting up and it’s time to bare some skin! However, most of my body hasn’t seen the light of day all Winter so it’s going to need a bit of a helping hand before it’s ready to be exposed in public. Here is my army of products that take me from Snow White to Bronze Goddess overnight.

First things first – scrub a dub dub! I always start by giving my limbs a good old scrub. Recently I’ve been using this Bean Body coconut oil coffee scrub to exfoliate my body so that it’s ready for a fresh coat of tan. I also love the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush body scrub. On my face I use the Murad AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser which leaves me with super soft skin.

Next I moisturise the areas where tan tends to stick to. I smother my hands, feet, underarms, elbows and knees with the Janjira body butter, it keeps my skin hydrated and smells DIVINE. I’ve been using the Murad City Skin Overnight Detox moisturiser on my face, which is perfect for London life as it detoxifies and neutralises the pollutants that accumulate on your skin throughout the day.

Then I slap on the tan! I’m actually running dangerously low on my two favourite tans (cries). I’ve completely finished the NKD SKN dark lotion (LOVE it) so I’ve moved on to their mousse now. I’m a super lazy tanner so the Vita Liberata Ten Minute Tan is perfect for me. It’s like a chocolate sauce that you rub all over, leave for ten minutes to work its magic and then jump in the shower to rinse off. Easy peasy! Make sure you apply these with a mitt to avoid orange palms – the ultimate fake tan giveaway. Both of these tans leave you with a nice natural looking tan, no tango in sight. I use the St Tropez bronzing face lotion on my face. I’m sure you can put it straight on your skin but I apply it over my moisturiser.

Now let’s talk about that fake tan smell. I have yet to find ANY fake tan that doesn’t leave you smelling of biscuits. No matter what the product claims, I just can’t avoid it. If anyone has any recommendations, send them my way!
