BRAND RAVE: L’OCCITANE EN PROVENCE

Here is the first instalment of a new monthly feature on www.LittleMissPlumful.com – Brand Rave. Every month I will choose my favourite products from a particular brand and share my thoughts on these.

First up in the series is L’Occitane en Provence.

Having spent many Summers in Provence, I have been using traditional French skincare products such as Savon de Marseille from a young age. L’Occitane have many Lavender products, the iconic fragrance of Provence and a scent which instantly takes me back to those summers spent in St Tropez. L’Occitane also value the nourishing qualities of Shea Butter which is clear from the extensive range of products using this as their main ingredient. Best of all, L’Occitane sell the Traditional Savon De Marseille – a natural soap composed of 72% vegetable oils which has many uses.IMG_4669

L’Occitane have a vast range soaps including the aforementioned Savon de Marseille. I particularly like the Shea Butter range as I have dry and sensitive skin. It’s a gentle soap that lathers up into a nice foam and the nourishing properties of Shea Butter means that it doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry. It comes in a range of comforting fragrances, all of them leaving you feeling refreshed.

L’occitane do some great hand creams. I’m one of those people who must religiously apply cream to their hands throughout the day so I go through these pretty quickly. They absorb into your skin quickly and don’t leave you with greasy paws. Again, they come in many fragrances, my favourite being the Shea Butter (can you see a pattern here?!).

Yes, it’s a Shea Butter product again. What can I say-I just can’t get enough of the stuff! I go into more detail about these in my Kissably Soft Lips post. Basically I don’t leave the house without this lip balm. Unlike many lip balms that just sit on your lips, this actually moisturises them. Thumbs up from me.

I like all of the L’occitane shower gels, they lather up nicely and leave your skin feeling soft. I particularly enjoy the Verveine Collection. There’s something about the soothing scent of Verbena that gives you a sense of wellbeing. I’ve also used the Shampoo and Conditioner, a nice and gentle formula which is perfect for my sensitive scalp. I will try anything with Verbena in it!

So there are my top picks from L’Occitane. What products have you tried and loved?
