April was all about a glowing base, bright under eye area and bold lips. I have been obsessed with these products all month.

I used this highlighter all of last Summer and since then it somehow got pushed to the back of my concealer draw (yes I have one of those) and forgotten about. Luckily, April saw the return of this little stick of highlighting genius. I apply this on top of my concealer for a super bright highlighted under eye area – think Kim Kardashian. Light Boost has a yellow undertone which is brightening, but it comes in four shades including peach tones to battle those dark circles. It has a creamy consistency, but does not crease. I think this will keep its place in my makeup bag and rightly so. It makes me look wide awake when in fact I look like a zombie underneath. Perfect after those late nights!

theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Luminizer

This has been the secret to my glow this month. I brush this over the high points of my face – mostly along the cheekbones, Cupid’s bow and down the centre of my nose. It leaves you looking as if you’re glowing from within. It has more of a golden finish rather than an icy one, which is great for my skin tone. Perfect for that fresh faced summer look. How cute is this packaging?! Always a bonus…

I had neglected this blush since buying it over a year ago – and what a waste that was! It  is gorgeous on and wears well throughout the day. This nude blush with a matte finish gives you a subtle flush to the cheeks. I’ve been reaching for this on those days when I want to go for a more natural and undone look. I definitely think this will be a staple in my Summer makeup looks.

Milani Colour Statement Lip Gloss in 08

I picked this up when I was Stateside and like the Tarte blush I had forgotten all about it. I recently reached for this as I was searching for a lipliner to apply under my Mac Rebel lipstick. I was very pleasantly surprised to see how highly pigmented it was on my lips and abandoned Rebel altogether, opting to apply this all over my lips instead. It has a waxy, almost creamy formula which means it doesn’t dry your lips out as most lipliners do. It states that it’s long wearing which I entirely agree with as it lasted well on my lips without bleeding or fading too much. At the cheap and cheerful price of just $3.50 I was really pleased to have discovered this within my stash of lipliners. I just wish it was available in the UK!

Mac lipstick in Plumful

Last, but by no means least is my beloved Plumful lipstick. Yes my blog is named after this! This lipstick is the perfect shade and consistency to throw on with any look and is my go to lippie when I just can’t be bothered to sieve through my collection. The cremesheen finish means that it is moisturising and the pinky plum shade can be worn sheer or layered on for more of a statement lip. I have enjoyed applying this over the Milani lipliner to give it more of a plum tone. I literally could not be without this and I will always have it in my lipstick stash.

So there you have it, the products I’ve been loving all through April!

What have you been reaching for this month?
